Hypericum perforatum

A plant that thrives in meadows, along the edges of forests and pastures, in warm places. It is traditionally used as a tea against depression and nerve diseases, but it is also good for digestion. It stimulates the secretion of bile, thus improving the digestion of fats.

St. John’s wort flower macerate in olive oil is called St. John’s wort oil.

It is an excellent remedy for various skin changes. It contains hypericin, hyperforin and flavonoids (hyperoside, rutin and amentoflavone).
